About
Melvin is a Computer Science MSc student at McMaster University, having previously earned his BSc in Computer Engineering. His academic path is a vibrant blend of research in fields such as machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, swarm intelligence, the Internet of Things, software engineering, and bioinformatics. His work has taken him across the globe, resulting in several publications. He also dedicates part of his free time to peer-reviewing articles for top-tier conferences and journals.
In addition to his research, he's been entrusted with teaching assistantships since the beginning of his studies. His contributions to numerous courses and labs reflect his strong academic standing and his position among the top students.
Outside academia, Melvin enjoys meditation, swimming, and bachata dancing. He's also really into traveling, taking pictures, and reading mystery books.
